The status and recommendations of low-carbon economy development in Suzhou, China

The development of low-carbon economy has become the hot topic in every region, nation and even the whole world. The paper empirically analyses low-carbon economic development status in Suzhou the prosperous city of advanced economic development and manufacturing, which based on developmental goals of China’s low-carbon city. The empirical study found that the population and per capita GDP have a significant positive impact on the total carbon emissions, but the technical level has a significant negative impact on the total amount of carbon emissions. Reasonable recommendations are put forward to promoting city of Suzhou to translate into a low carbon city in view of low-carbon emission factors of Suzhou.
